The rack structure on twisted conjugacy classes in simple groups of Lie type.
Expositora: Dra. Giovanna Carnovale (Università degli Studi di Padova).
Resumen: The classification of finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras relies on the classification of finite-dimensional Nichols algebras. This, in turn, is strictly related to the structure of simple racks. A very large family of simple racks consists of twisted conjugacy classes, i.e., orbits for the action \(g\cdot_{\psi}x=gx\,\psi(g^{-1})\) for \(\psi\) a fixed automorphism, in simple groups of Lie type.
In a joint work with Agustin Garcia Iglesias we have proposed a strategy for
a systematic study of twisted classes in such groups and we have given some answers for the group \(PSL(n,q)\) and the so-called graph automorphism, when \(q\) is odd.
