Descripción
El Encuentro Nacional de Álgebra tiene entre sus objetivos:
- Difundir en la comunidad argentina de algebristas resultados importantes recientes, mediante cursos y conferencias panorámicas, y, en particular, aquellos obtenidos por matemáticos argentinos y latinoamericanos.
- Permitir a los participantes actualizarse sobre resultados e intereses de sus colegas de áreas vecinas y fomentar la interacción entre especialistas de la región que, con formaciones diferentes, pueden contribuir a la resolución de sus problemas de investigación.
- Iniciar a los estudiantes y otros participantes en el área, en las distintas posibilidades que en esta materia existen en la región.

The main goals of the elENA are:

- To promote the development of algebra and affine areas through the academic interchange with researchers from the region and also from the world.

- To give the local participants the opportunity to update their knowledge on recent original results and on subjects of interest on the area by inviting established researchers from the region and from the world.

- To introduce undergraduate students to the research on algebra, favoring in some cases the choice of advisors for future doctoral studies.
- To give graduate students the opportunity to increase their knowledge on the area and, if it were the case, to decide the future of their career.
