Los objetivos de este coloquio son principalmente fortalecer el intercambio y la cooperación en temas de actualidad, especialmente los relacionados a las categorías tensoriales, las álgebras de Hopf, los grupos cuánticos y la teoría de representaciones de grupos y álgebras de Lie en general. Asimismo, este espacio es pensado como una instancia de formación y aprendizaje de nuevas teorías, técnicas y herramientas.
El coloquio nació en Argentina y la mayoría de los eventos se llevaron a cabo aquí. Sin embargo, se prepondera la participación de investigadores latinoamericanos y la realización del mismo en distintos lugares de la región. Los jóvenes investigadores y estudiantes de doctorado y postdoctorado también ocupan un lugar destacado.

The main objective of this coloquium is to promote interchange and colaboration in current topics, specially those related to tensor categories, Hopf algebras, quantum groups and representation theory of Lie groups and algebras in general. Moreover, it is also meant to be a space for training and learning of new theories, techniques and tools.
The coloquium was born in Argentina and has taken place mostly in this country. However, it encourages the participation of latinamerican researchers and PhD students, and welcomes the possibility of being held in different cities of the region.
